This week, we will have lots of news stories about the death of Elvis Presley 40 years ago. It was one of those shock moments, like the death of Princess Diana, when everyone can remember where they were and what they were doing.
I remember it and how long ago it was, because, as a Secondary School (it was High School then) teenager, I met my wife to be the following week, whilst the shock and the memorials were still raw. As such, the date came to form a very positive part in my memories.
Even when bad things happen, good things do as well. Whilst the sun is setting, somewhere else it is rising. So in a slightly more reflective mood this week, may I encourage our regular readers to celebrate and appreciate the good things and build on relationships. It’s nothing short of astonishing how quickly 40 years goes by. A decision you make today might transform your life; hopefully for the better.
